Looking for info on the Obed SHORT family. He married Mary Gatty PITTS on 7 Nov 1839 in Worcester County. Obed was born on 17 Feb 1804 I believe in Delaware. Obed died on 22 Mar 1847. They had a son, James P., born on 15 Sep 1845 and died 7 Apr 1859. Can find no info on Obed, James or Mary other than info above. This was a second marriage for Obed, who had three children by previous wife who died soon after child birth. I am unsure if Mary's maiden name was Pitts or was from a previous marriage. The 1840 census has a number of children living in the household.
