Old Nazareth Cemetery is in Atkinson's Election District, Worcester County, Maryland. The cemetery was listed on March 1, 1991, by Grace A. Morris and Rebecca F. Miller. Their record combined an incomplete list copied by Mr. and Mrs. J. Howard Adkins in March 1978, a 1979 listing by Lewis W. Long, and the stones still present in 1991.
The 1991 compilers reported that the cemetery had been repeatedly vandalized, that seven stones in their combined list were then missing, and that other dates were partly illegible because stones were broken. Philip L. Goldsborough retyped the compilation on January 23, 2013.
Reading the transcription: The entries below preserve the historic compilation as closely as practical. One impossible date in the typed copy for Julet S. Jones was corrected to 1908 because the supplied gravestone photograph clearly shows that year. Other uncertain or unusual readings have not been silently guessed.
