**EXTRA** An inventory was filed in Worcester Co. of the debts due to the estate of Robert HANDY. This list is part of an inventory taken on October 3, 1765, and entered for probate on June 19, 1766. It can be found in Liber 90, Folios 99-110. *The names listed in this inventory will be posted at the LAST given name at the end of each surname account. Plus, at the end of each surname letter, before starting another set of new surnames, (different letters), I have added names found in Handy's but NOT found in the John Nelms accounts. - LDF

for 4/6/11-3/4. Gave a note for balance including interest on a settlement 
of 10/5/6-3/4 which Doctor Harrey promised to pay. Bought sundries in 1784 
for 2/1/6-1/2. His father paid 10/5/7 in 1777. In 1784 he delivered 4 
gallons of brandy for credit of 1/0/0.

GAME, Jeremiah (Negro) (4 Oct 1766 to 9 Jul 1787)
Balance from Ledger C 0/7/6. No purchase in 1767. Bill paid by father in 
1772. Purchased sundries in 1786 for 7/5/10. Paid 0/15/0 in 1786. Balance of

handkerchiefs, 1-1/4 bu for 1 cake of beeswax, 2 bu for a pewter tea pot, 7 
bu for 4 silk handkerchiefs, 1-1/4 bu for black glass coat buttons, 5 bu for 
5 horse collars and a pewter tea pot to be paid in washed wool. GIBBONS 
brought 2 bu of salt on the day of the deal and Nelms got 12 more bu in 
December, 1781 and 9 more in December, 1784

debt of 5/11/11. Paid with 7 yds of Dowels in 1782 and by carting 2 loads of

Bought sundries for 3/5/3 in 1786, interest added made a total of 3/8/2. 
Delivered nails and bolts in 1786, for payment of 0/9/3 and gave a note for 
2/18/00 in 1787.

Balance from Ledger H 8/18/11 plus interest of 1/17/3. Gave debt of 13/6/4 
after buying rum, nutmeg, molasses, elixer of balsam and a clasp knife. Paid 
12/4/6 in cash and gave note for 1/11/11 in 1787.

Bought a bridle, ferriting, and a hat for a total of 0/10/4. Entire balance

cash-1768. In 1784 hired Nelms negro woman Hanorah for three months for 
1/4/0. In 1778 borrowed money & bought corn for 3/5/0 for a total of 4/9/0. 
Nelms sued in 1787 but court found an overcharge of 2/9/9 & gave judgment 
for only 1/19/3.

HASTINGS, Joshua (1765 - 17 Mar 1786)
Carried 2/3/2 from C. Bought trace ropes and gave credit to Nathaniel 
Lecates for 2/9/6 in 1767. Paid on accounts of William Martin, Nathaniel 
Lecato, (prob. Lecates), Thomas Gordy, Clement Callaway in 1768 and 1769 and 
for Moses Carmen in 1771. Jonathan Hearn delivered corn for his account in 
1768. Carried balance of 0/5/6 to Ledger C. Bought in 1775 and 1777 rum, 
trace ropes, and cambiec, gave credits to Betty Bradley and Ignatius 
Anderson's wife for a total of 28/6/2. Paid in corn wheat, and pork and a 
credit of 10/11/8 from H. In 1784 bought spoon molds, steel forks, piece 
goods, and accessories, 3 pair......And that is the end of what was copied 
by John Jacob, for that account.
