**EXTRA** An inventory was filed in Worcester Co. of the debts due to the estate of Robert HANDY. This list is part of an inventory taken on October 3, 1765, and entered for probate on June 19, 1766. It can be found in Liber 90, Folios 99-110. *The names listed in this inventory will be posted at the LAST given name at the end of each surname account. Plus, at the end of each surname letter, before starting another set of new surnames, (different letters), I have added names found in Handy's but NOT found in the John Nelms accounts. - LDF

Balance from Ledger H 0/6/9. Charged beginning 7 Mar 1775 fine white linen, 
brown linen, with interest a total of 0/19/0. Paid in full in cash on 4 Jan 
1777.

DAILEY, William (14 Mar 1767 - 30 Jul 1787)
Nelms paid 0/0/8 to DAILEY for fish for John FLINT on 14 Mar 1767. In 1787 a 
balance of 15/0/0 was carried forward from Ledger H and on 30 Jul 1787 it 
was noted that the account had been paid "by cash some time ago". On 15 Apr 
1775 DAILEY got a credit of 2/8/6 on the account of John LEONARD. On 20 Jan 
1787 Nancy WILLIN got shoes from DAILEY charge to her account with NELMS.

DASHIELL, Arthur (7 Apr 1775 - 25 Jan 1777)
Purchased beginnin g 7 Apr 1775 two clasp knives, two pair shoe buckles, one 
felt hat, one comb, cambric for a total of 0/11/10. Paid in full in cash on

of 3/12/3 was carried forward to Ledger E. He brought forward a balance of

knife, one hank sewing silk delivered by Daniel Jr, seven yds white linen, 
one doz needles, six skeins thread, one large pewter dish, one box of iron, 
two gimlets, six yds cambric, one pair shoe buckles, with interest a total 
of 7/18/8. Paid on 12 Mar 1768 in cash 0/15/0 and on 18 May 1768 took a note 
for 7/3/9 which in error was one penny too much. (Dix Daniel, Sr. combined) 
Balance from Ledger H 0/5/0. gave note for this amount on 21 July 1787.

Elizabeth DIX, widow [I believe this was the wife of Arthur] (17 Jun 1774 - 
15 Mar 1777) Charged beginning 17 June 1774 2-1/4 yds long lawn, 1/2 doz tea 
spoons, two yds stamped cotton, 1/2 yd calico, credit by Mary DIX in Ledger 
H 0/13/2 for a total of 2/11/5-1/2. Paid by 108 lbs pork on 6 December 1775 
and cash of 1/10/0 on 18 October 1776. Charged on 26 October 1776 a pewter 
basin, and on 21 Jan 1777 lawn, gauze, one book, child's plaything and a 
piece of ribbon for a total of 1/4/3. Paid in cash on 15 March 1777.

George DIX (25 Apr 1766 - 18 Jan 1770)
Balance from Ledger C 0/14/9. Partial payment of 0/5/0 with corn delivered 
by Arthur DIX on 18 Jan 1770.

Mary DIX (28 Oct 1774)
Got credit of 1/13/2 on account of Elizabeth DIX widow.

Naboth DIX (1766 - 3 Feb 1770)
Purchased beginning on 28 Feb 1767 a quantity of thread, 2-1/2 yds shalloon, 
two sitcks of hair, three doz coat buttons, buckram, 2-1/2 yds shalloon, two 
sticks of hair, three doz. coat buttons, buckram, 2- 1/2 yds sheeting linen, 
balance from Ledger C of 0/5/9, with interest a total of 1/16/5. On 23 Jan 
1768 cash was paid by Robinson Lingo in amount of 0/5/10 and on 3 Feb 1770 
0/3/6 & a balance of 1/7/1 carried to Ledger F.

Mrs. Sarah DIX [This may be the widow of my Daniel] (11 Mar 1767 - 26 Jan 
1768) Charged beginning on 11 Mar 1767 1/2 pt rum, one yd fine white 
Holland, and three qts molasses for a total of 0/11/6. Paid with 5-3/4 bu of 
corn by Arthur DIX on 26 Jan 1768.

William DIX (1766 - 7 Feb 1776)
Balance from Ledger C 1/14/2. Charged 29 May 1767 one gal molasses, with 
interest a total of 2/1/8. Paid in cash on 10 Jun 1768. Balance from Ledger 
H 1/11/0. Purchased beginning on 12 March 1775 two small cart boxes, one qt 
rum, cash borrowed, one doz needles, one spelling book for a total of 3/4/1. 
Paid for on 7 Feb 1776 by five nests of wooden ware for 1/17/6 and one pair 
of cart wheels for 1/12/6 for a credit balance of 0/5/11.

cash for a total of 3/7/6. On 9 Jun 1768 gave a note for this amount. 
Beginning on 29 Apr. 1775. He charged 1/2 b powder, one linen handkerchief, 
two gals molasses, one linen handkerchief, two gal molasses, one linen 
handkerchief, six gas molasses, four yds. velvet, two yds white durant, 13 
coat buttons, 1/2 yd linen, two hanks silk, one large stick of twist, 
quantity of thread, buckram, one linen handkerchief, one lb chocolate, four 
lbs coffee, 8-1/4 yds fine white linen, five skeins fine thread, one clasp 
knife, one pair shoe buckles, broad tape, two yds. checked cambric, 1/2 yd 
fine white linen, balance from Ledger H with interest 17/3/4. On 17 Apr 1776 
gave a note for the full amount.

DIXON, Nathaniel (1774 - 9 Jun 1787)
Balance from Ledger H 1/18/6. Charged beginning on 19 Sept 1775 three 
damaged earthenware mugs, seven yds durant, two hanks of silk, two doz vest 
buttons, three coat buttons, two doz gilded coat buttons, nine years 
interest on 21 Mar 1776 for a total of 3/15/0. On 21 Mar 1776 Hezekiah CARY 
delivered 1,618 feet of ten inch plank to be credited to this account for 
3/12/9. Charged beginning on 12 Dec 1783 10-1/8 yds tent linen, two primers, 
two yds tape, 9-1/2 yds Irish linen, two bridles, one pair trace ropes,
1/2 lb alum, 20 yds Scotch oznaburg, one comb, 2-1/2 yds Joans, 15 yds 
Bushea duck, five yds Irish linen, 1/2 yd Joans, one paper pins, one yd

FULLERTON.

Nelms paid 0/0/8 to DAILEY for fish for John FLINT on 14 Mar 1767. In 1787 a 
balance of 15/0/0 was carried forward from Ledger H and on 30 Jul 1787 it 
was noted that the account had been paid "by cash some time ago." On 15 Apr 
1775 Dailey got a credit of 2/9/6 on the acount of John LEONARD. On 20 Jan 
1787, Nancy WILLIN got shoes from DAILEY charge to her account with Nelms.
