Located on Catalpa Farm in the Princess Anne area. The source says the farm name dates to about 1825 and that the home of Zadock Long still stood roughly 500 feet east of the graves when the cemetery was recorded.

The cemetery lies near the center of a large field just south of Taylor Branch, on high ground shown at about 20 feet elevation on the Princess Anne quadrangle maps. It was described as in fair condition, with several large trees and moderate undergrowth.

The burial ground lies on the ancient patent Davis Choice , patented by Thomas Davis on March 20, 1663, for 450 acres. The source says Zadock Long acquired the land about 1804 and that it remained in the Long family until the 1970s.
