School Ridge Farm Cem. Select the image for a larger view.
This family plot was described east of Fairmount Road near the former Fairmount Academy, on the tract Schoolhouse Ridge, patented to Richard Waters in 1753. On the 1877 atlas it was associated with the property of Thomas E. Ballard.
The source reports a fence with a BALLARD name stone at the entrance. It also records oral family information about other burials and the reinterment of Eglantine Ballard, wife of Cooper Tyler, at St. Paul’s.

The source notes that Thomas E. Ballard was buried here, but says his stone may have been face down or nearly covered; it does not present a complete inscription for him.
