This family graveyard lies in Revell’s Neck, the neck of land between the Manokin River and Back Creek. It is enclosed by an iron fence on a high piece of ground and has long been associated with the Long, McGrath, Crockett, Speights, Dix, and Fitzgerald families.
The older field record places the cemetery on land descended from the large tract Double Purchase, associated with Randall Revell and Ann Toft, and notes the home of Capt. Jesse B. Fitzgerald nearby on the 1877 Atlas.

Cemetery and Research Notes
Primary project name: Long–McGrath–Fitzgerald Family Graveyard. Older project material also called this the Capt. Jesse B. Fitzgerald Cemetery, Fitzgerald Cemetery, and Millard Long Cemetery.
Fred Howard supplied an early transcription. Ed Smith and Philip L. Goldsborough listed and photographed the site on March 2, 2008 and counted 17 marked burials at that time. The separate older Fitzgerald Cemetery page has been consolidated into this record so the same burial ground is not represented twice.
Contributors: Fred Howard; Ed Smith; Philip L. Goldsborough; earlier cemetery information from Beverly and Larry Alexander and family notes supplied to the SCP by Priscilla Beachboard.
