Just south of Princess Anne in the Princess Anne Election District, on a tenant farm historically known as Layfield Farm and shown as the home of J. Layfield on the 1877 Atlas of the Eastern Shore.

The burial ground lies on a hill about 200 feet north of Jones Creek, approximately 450 feet east of the former Penn Central Railroad track and about 2,000 feet south of Washington High School, between Old Princess Anne Road and U.S. Route 13. The source places it probably on the southern portion of Davis’s Choice, patented by James Davis for 600 acres on March 14, 1663.
