Henry Ward Cemetery at Boxiron

Boxiron / Crisfield · Lawson’s District No. 8 · Somerset County, Maryland

1877 map of Henry Ward cemetery area
Excerpt of the 1877 atlas included in the source folder.

This two-marker family cemetery is in the Jacksonville / Boxiron area north of Crisfield. The original report places it near a Ward residence on the 1877 Atlas, on land historically associated with the tract called Cork, patented to Cornelius Ward in 1678.

The contributed folder includes the written transcription, land-research documents, and an atlas illustration. No individual gravestone photographs were supplied with this record, so the two grave cards reproduce the contributed text.
