To All Christian People to whom there may concern that I William Wallace
now of Manokin River and County of Somerset Carpenter being of perfect
memory and remembrance Praise t god for it do make my latter Will and
Testament in manner and form as followeth, on this 16th day of May 1698____
Fist I bequeath my soul unto the hands of the Almighty omnipotent god my
maker and proserver hoping that through the merits and meritorous passion
of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and redeemer to review pardon and
forgiveness of al my sins and as for my body to be buried in Christian
burial at the discretion of my two brothers James Wallace and Robert
Wallace whom I make and ordain my sole executors ___ First I give into my
two cousins John Bouerd and John Wallace five pounds sterling 50 shillings
to each, the above said John Wallace is not to have his part, unless his
father Richard Wallace let him come when demanded to live and remain with
my brother James and when at age to receive the dame and to my cousin
William Wallace Jun. Sixteen yards of linen and 10 pr. Of shoes and to my
causen William Wallace Sen. Nine pounds sterling to be divided between him
and his brother Thomas Wallace, and his sister Mary Wallace as he thinks
fitt - And t my causen Jean Marrett 60 pds. of tobacco, and for whole
Estate goods and chattles and debts and all things belonging to me I make
over and give to my said brothers they paying my debts and legacys above
mentioned they being my only Executors of this my last Will I revoking all
other wills and testaments In witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal
the day and year above said._____
