In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Shills of Wicocomoco in ye County of Somerset & Province of Maryland, being very Sick in body but In perfect memory, making this my Last will & Testament I bequeath my Soul to god yt gave it me & my body, to the Earth from whence it came ~~~ First, I bequeath Unto my son Thomas Shills when he Shall come to the age of Eighteen years all this plantation of three hundred acres of Land where on I now Dwell to him & his heirs for Ever & one young horse Colt of about a year old & one feather Bed With furniture, belonging to it & one gun his first choice of four guns ~~~ Next I bequeath Unto my son John Shills when he comes to the age of Eighteen years one hundred acres of Land being in Two pattans in Each patent fifty Acres Ajoyning to the land of my son Thomas Shills to him & his heirs for Ever, & One feather Bed, with furniture belonging to it & one gun his second choice of four guns, ~~~ Next I bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Shills one feather Bed & one Large White rugg & one Iron pott of about four gallons� In the witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & Seale, this 16 Day of Februy 1675 ~~~ Signed Sealed & delivd In ye presents of us } {seale} Testes Thomas Bloyse Edward Davis ______ By virtue of a Comission to me directed from the Judge for probate of wills & the within Mentioned was proved to in comon form by the Oaths of Thomas Bloyse and Edward Davis the 15th day of Novem. 1676, at the same time was the Oath of the An Executrix, Administered unto the Executrix, within named ~~~ By Will Stevens� Nov. 15th 1676, Then was Sworn Nicholas Rice and Thomas Holbrooke Appointed to appraise, the goods and Chattles of Thomas Shills of Somerset County, Deceased, Before me ~~~ Will Stevens� (Indorsement: Intr: Lib: Testam: fo. 108.)
