In the name of God amen I Thomas Rencher of Somerset County in the Province
of Maryland Being of perfect mind and memory thanks be to all mighty God
for the (Same and censi?) during the Shortness of human life Do make and
ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and following (Viz
1st ?) My will and desire is that all my Just and Lawfull debits be duly
paid and Complyed with (2 ly ?) I give and bequeath to my Son Thomas
Rencher my Land Mill one of the Largest Iron potts and one of the least of
the Iron potts a pair of Stillards the (Haikle ?) and one of the best Beds
and furniture which he has already Recieved to him and Heirs for Ever
3dly I give and be bequeath to my Daughter Mary Ballard wife of John
Ballard One Cow and Calfe and one Bed and furnitrue which She has already
Recieved to her and her Heirs for Ever 4tly I give and to my Son
William Rencher one Bed and Furniture to him and his Heirs for Ever
5thly I give and bequeath to my Son Samuel Rencher one Bed and Furniture
to him and his Heirs for Ever 6thly I give to my Daughter Bridgett
Chaply one Shilling Sterling and no other part of my Estate whatsoever
7thly I give to my jDaughter Ana Higgins one Shilling Sterling and no
other part of my Estate whatsoever 8thly I give to Sarah Beard one
Shilling Sterling and no other part of my Estate whatsoever 9thly
I give and bequeath to Francis hitch one Shilling Sterling and no other
part of my Estate whatsoever 10thly I give to my Daughter Mary
Ballard one Shilling Sterling and no other part of my Estate Except the
(Legaiy ?) Above mentioned which She has already Recieved 11thly
My will and desire is that there should be no (adminishati ?) on on my
Estate but that all the remaining part Besisdes the (Legaires ?) Above
mentioned I give and bequeath to my three Sons Tomas Rencher William
Rencher and Samuel Rencher to be Equally devided amongst them and I do
Constitute and appoint my Son Thomas Rencher to be (last ?) And Sole
Executer of this my Last Will and Testament (Disannuling ?) and making
voind all other wills heretofore by me made Either in word or Writing In
testimony where of I have (Lineto ?) Sett my hand and fixed my Seale this
1st day of November

On the 28th day of April 1772 Came Thomas Rencher and made oath on the Holy
Evangilist of Almighty God that the writhen instrument of writing is the
true and only Will and Testament of Thomas Rencher Late of Somerset County
(decsd ?) that hath come to him do (possession ?) or knowledge and that he
did not know or Ever heard of any other
Sworn Before Thos (Holbrock Depty Comy ?) of Som County on the twenty
Eight day of April one thousand seven Hundred and Seventy two Came Levin
Dashiel and Levin Dashiel (?) The two Subscribing Witness and made oath on
the holy Evangelist of Almighty God that they did Sec the (Testater?)
Thomas Rencher Sign and Seal the within Will and heard him Publish
Pronounce and declare the same to be his Last Will and Testament and at the
time of his (sodoing ?) He was to the best of each of their ( appichansions
?) Of sound disposing Mind memory and understanding, and they subscribed
their names as Witness to the said Will in the presence of the said
(Testator ?)
Sworn Before Thos Holbrock (Depty Comis ?) Of Som County
Thomas Rencher to pay for Recording-but refuses to take out Letters
