February the 12th Anno Domni one thousand Seven hundred and seventy two Solomon Wright of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland being sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect memory blessed be God and calling to mind the uncertainty of life that proper to settle my worldly affairs in the manner following Viz______ First it is my desire that all just debts be punctually paid_____ Secondly I leave unto my grandson William Wright my plantation where on I now liveth with all my lands thereto going to him and his heirs forever______Thirdly I leave all my other Estate to be Equally divided among my six children that is to say between Jacob Wright Levin Wright Sarah Phillips Patiance Jackson Prifsilla Robertson Charity Twiford to then and their heirs forever______ Fourthly I make and ordain Levin Wright Executor of this my last will and testament and doe disanull and by these presents doe make said and of no effect all other wills heartoforemade by me and doe confirm this to be my last will and testament as witnefs my hand and seal this 12th day of February Anno Dom 1772 Signed Sealed delivered } in the presents of __________ Joseph Venablis Solomon [mark] Wright Seal William Darby Jonathon [mark] Hardy On the 5th day of March 1772 Came Jofeph Venablis and Made oath on the Holy Evangilist of almighty God that the writhin Instrument of writing is the true and only will and testament of Solomon Wright late of Somerset County deceased that hath came to his hands possessions and knowledge and that his did not or heard of any other______________ Sworn before Thos. Holbrook Deputy Comy. Somerset County On the fifth day of March one thousand and seven hundred and seventy two came Joseph Venablis William Darby and Jonathan Hardy the three subscribing witnefss and made oath on the Holy Evangilist of almighty God that they did see the testator Solomon Wright sign and seal the writhen will and heard publish pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and testament and at the time of his so doing he was to the best of each of their apprehensions of a sound disposing mind memory and understanding and that they subscribed their names as witnefss to the said will in the presence of the said Testator______ Recorded in Liber EB no. 5 folio 6 and 7 Emps.
