In the name of god Amen I Samuel Jackson of Somerset County and province of Maryland Living upon Quantico Creek being in good health of body and of sound and perfect mind and memory praised too therefore given to almighty god do make and ordain this my present last will and testament I manner and form following in that is to say first and principally I command my sole into the hands of almighty god hoping through the merrits death and Possession of my savior Jesus Christ to have gull and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and to inherit everlasting life and my body I commit to the earth to be decently burried at the descretion of my Executor here after named and as touching the disposition of such temporal estate as it hath pleased Almighty god to bestowe upon me I give and dispose there of as followeth______ First I will that my debts and funerall charges be paid and discharged ___ Item I bequeath unto my eldest son Jonathan Jackson the to hundred acres of land, I now live on the one hundred aces called Abergani the other three hundred called SmallPott to him and his heirs forever Item it is my will that my loving wife Ann Jackson shall have her hole life upon the said land called Abergani provided she keeps unmaned but if otherwise she is to remain upon the said land but tell my said son Jonathon attain to the age of seventeen years____ Item I bequeath unto my younger sons Samuel and Daniel all the last that can be provided Samuel Jackson late deceased lying on the north side Chiccone branch near the wording place to them and their heirs forever but in case either Samuel or Daniel die that the survivor shall enjoy the other as part of the said land likewise it is my will and desire that my two younger sons Samuel and Daniel be at age when they attain to the years of seventeen_____ Item I bequeath to my son Jonathan Jackson one cow called Blossom with a cow calf and all there increase to him and his heirs for ever likewise I bequeath unto Jonathan Jackson one gun. Item I bequeath unto my beloved wife and m three sons Jonathan Samuel and Daniel two horses and one mare to be equally divided between them my wife having the privilege to dispose of all or other of them allowing my said three sons there part proportionably allowing my Daughter Mary the first mare calf she [??]olds_____ Item I bequeath my son Samuel Jackson One cow called Sandon with all her female increase to him and his heirs for ever and one gun______ Item I bequeath unto my son Daniel Jackson, one cow called Lovely with all her female increase to him and his heirs for ever and one gun_____ Item I bequeath unto my wife son James one yearling heifer Marked as followeth- with an over hause on the right ear and swallow fork and under betted on the left ear and a musket_____ Item I bequeath unto my Daughter Susan one mare colt to her and her heirs for ever likewise it is m will and desire that my Daughter Susan should have a cow called Filpail and a cow calf to her and her heirs forever_____ Item I bequeath unto my Daughter Mary one cow Chery and cow calf to her and her heirs for ever______ Item I bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth one cow called Hero with a cow calf to her and her heirs for ever all the rest due of my personal Estate goods an chattles whatsoever I do give and bequeath unto my loving wife Ann Jackson and do make her full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament Likewise I do appoint Capt. Mallot Witnesses above mentioned October the 30th 1688 And by Manasses Morris 9 October the 1688, by virtue of a commission to me directed out to the office for Probates of Wills____ October the 29 1688 Symon Perkins and James Weatherly, appraisers of the Estate, sworne bond taken the first day of December 1688 letters of Admin.
