In the name of God Amen I Samuel Haney of Somerset County in the province
of Maryland planter being Sick of body but of perfect mind and memory
thanks to Almighty God for the Same knowing that it is appointed once for
all men to die Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament and first
of all I resomend my Sole to God who gave my body to the Earth to be buried
in a Desent and a Christian manner at the Discretion of Executors and for
What Temprel Worldly Estate as it hath pleased god to blefs me with I Give
bequeath and Despose of the Same in manner and form following Viz. Item I
Give and bequeath unto Newbel Moor to him his Heirs or Afsigns for Ever
five and Twenty Acres of Land out of my refsirvey Called the victory of
Wisdom over haneys Adverferys Lying in this Conty Joining to the West Line
begining at the turned Corse at the Corner of his fence and runing with the
Line to Lingers bounder as much as Will include five and twenty Acres
______ Item give and bequeath unto John Moor a percel of Land Lying between
William Lingoes Line and Richard Wallers out of the Same Servay Containing
one Hundred and nine Acres to him and his Heirs or Afsignes for Ever ______
Item I Give and bequeath unto my Son James Haney all the remaining part of
my Land Lying on the West Side of hugh Colwells branch to him and his Heirs
or Afsigns for Ever ______ Item I Give and bequeath unto my jSon Richard
haney one Hundred Acres of Land at the West Corner of my Land to be laid of
as two honeft men Shall think proper to him and his Heirs or Afsignes for
Ever ______ Item I Give and bequeath unto my Son Samuel Haney my Dwelling
plantation with all other Rites and Titles Joining therunto him and his
Heirs or Afsingnes for Ever but Shall not have any athority to disturb his
mother or act without her consent as long as She Lives ______ Item I profes
my loving wife Judeth Haney with all my Estate that I now live upon to have
and to hold it Quietly from any of my Childredn to have power to act and to
do in buying and Selling the Same as myself as long as She lives and then
after her Death to be Equally divided amoung all my Children James Haney

On the 20th day of April 1772 Came Judeth Haney and Made oath on the Holy
Evangelist of Almighty God that Aforegoing Inftrument of writing is the
true and only will and Testament of Samuel Haney late of Somerset County
Deceased that hath come to her hands pofsefsion of knowledge and that She
did not know or Ever heard of any other
Sworn before Thos Holbrock Depy Comy of Som County on the twentieth
day of April one thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy two Came William
Cottman Waller and Mary Moor Two of the Subscribing Witnefs: and Made Oath
on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that they did see the Testator
Samuel Hanie Sign and Seal the within Will and heard him Publish pronounce
and declare the Same to be his last will and Testament and at the time of
his So doing he was to the best of each of their apprehansions of a sound
disposing mind Memory and understanding and that they Subscribed their
names as Witnefs: to the Said Will in the presence of the Said Testator,
and they also made oath that they did See James Badly Sign his name as a
