In the name of God I Margaret E Waters, being sick, weak in body, but
sound in mind, memory & understanding do make and publish this my last
will and testament ~ Item ~
I give and bequeath to Margaret Ellen Dashiell a note of hand which I
hold against John Waters dated 1st May 1852 for $310.00/100 Item ~
I give and bequeath to Sarah Virginia Waters a note of hand which which
I hold against Sarah Porter dated March 14th 1851 for $75 ~ In testimony
whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this 1st day of
November 1853 ~ Margaret Ellen Waters (Seal)
Signed sealed published and declared by Margaret E Waters the above
named testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence
of us who at her request, in her presence & the presence of each other
have subscribed our names as witnesses C1815-9

Somerset County to Wit: December 27th day 1853 ~ Then Cadmus Dashiell
and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that the foregoing
instrument of writing is the true and whole last will and testament of
Margaret E Waters late of Somerset County deceased, that hath come to
his hands or possession and that he doth not know of any other ~ Before

Somerset County to Wit: December 27th day 1853. Then came Matthias I
Sudler one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will and
testament of Margaret E Waters late of Somerset County, deceased, and
made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that he did see the
Testatrix therein named sign and seal this will, and that he heard her
publish pronounce and declare the same to be her last will and
testament; that at the time of her so doing she was to the best of his
apprehension of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding
capable of executing a valid deed or contract; and that he subscribed
his name as a witness to this will in the presence and at the request of
the Testatrix ~ He further deposed that he did see George D. Waller
subscribe his name as a witness to this will, in the presence and at the
request of the Testatrix Recorded in Liber J P No 5 Folios 229 & 230
