Transcription
In the Name of God Amen, I Josiah Warwick being week in body but of
sound disposing mind and memory and knowing the certainty of Death and
the uncertainty of the time when, and being desirous for to settle my
worldly affairs, and thereby to be the better prepared to leave this
world when it shall please God, to call me do constitute and appoint
this my last will and Testament revoking all wills heretofore made by me
as follows, that is to say first I commit my sole to God that gave it to
me and my body to be decently buried by my Executors hereafter Named,
that is to say after my just Debts and funeral charges being paid as
followers — First my will is that my wife Charlotty have ye one third
part of my Estate to her and her heirs forever — 2dly My will is that my
son Levin Warwick be and remain under the care of my trusty friend Levin
Wilson and his part of my Estate until he arrives to the Age of twenty
one Years — 3dly my will is that my trusty friend Henry Jackson have the
whole and sole power of my son Josiah Warwick until he comes to the age
of twenty one Years, And lastly do appoint my friend Henry Jackson my
whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking all
other Wills heretofore made by me Given under my hand and seale this

February the 8th day 1791 Then came Henry Jackson Esquire & made Oath on
the holy Evangels of Almighty God that the within Instrument of Writing
is the true & whole last Will and Testament of Josiah Warwick late of
Somerset County deceased that hath come to his hands or possession &
that he doth not know of any other before Esme Bayly Reg W S C
February the 8th day 1791 Then came Levin Woolford Senior & Levin
Woolford Junr two of the subscribing Witnesses to the within last will &
Testament of Josiah Warwick late of Somerset County deceased & severally
made Oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that they did see the
Testator within Named sign & seal this Will and that they heard him
publish pronounce and declare the same to be his last Will & Testament
and at the time of his so doing he was to the best of each of their
apprehensions of sound and dis =posing mind memory & understanding &
that they did respectively subscribe their Names as Witnesses to the
same in the presence & at the request of the Testator and in the
presence of each other: And they further depose that they saw John
Luckart subscribe his name as Witness to this Will in the presence and
at the request of the Testator Josiah Warwick — before Esme Bayly RegWSC
