Will of John Evans

In the name of God Amen I John Evans of the County of Somerset And province of Maryland planter being sick in body but of good And perfect Memory, thanks be to god, doe Make and ordain my last will and Testament the Sixth day of May in the year of or. Lord 1686 in Manner & form following Vizt. ~~~~ Impr I give And bequeath my soul to the hands of Almighty god hoping through the Meritts of Jesus Christ to Receave remission of my sins and my body to the ground to be burried after the Manner of Christian buriall according to discretion of my Executrix ~~~~ Item. I give And bequeath to my youngest son John Evans one Tract or parcell of Land called by the Name of Little Monmouth Situiate Lying and being on the North side of Wiccocomico River on the westermost side of Shiles Creek with all Right title Interest and priveledges thereunto belonging unto him the Said John Evans and his heirs for Ever ~~~~ Item. I Give And bequeath unto the said John Evans my son the one Moyety or half of A Tract or parcell of Land called Sydney the other Moyety or half belonging to Richard Crockett unto him the said John Evans his heirs or assigns for Ever With all rights and priveledge thereunto belonging ~~~~ Item, I give and bequeath all my personall Estate as Servents, goods Cattle And Chattles to be Equally devided between my beloved wife Mary Evans And my Two Sons Nicholas Evans and John Evans And I do hereby Nominate and appoint my Wife Mary Evans sole Executrix of this my will ~~~~ I do Also Nominate and Appoint my trusty and well beloved friends Charles Hutchenson and Stephen Cluffe Supirvisors of this my Last will and Testamt Revoaking all former Wills and Testaments by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seale the day Month and year Above Written ~~~~ John Evans Had Signed And delivd. in ye.
