May the 30th day one thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy two I Henry Grimes
of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland being Sick and weak in body
but blefsed be god of sound and perfect mind and memory doe make and
Confstitute this my last Will and Testament in manner following Viz______
first I give and Bequeath unto my son Eyskiel Graham all that part of a
tract of land called Weatherlys Convieniancy that lieth on the south side
of a branch called and known by the name of the dead of Beaver Dam which
land he is now in pofsefion of also fifty acres of land being part of a
tract of land called Quaoeason Neck to be laid of next to and to adjoin on
a tract of land now in pofsefsion of Abraham Smith also twenty acres of
Marsh out of a tract of land Marsh Called Eyckiels Convienancy lying in
Vienna Marsh and now the lower end of the sade tract, also all that part of
my moveable Estate that he hath now in his pofsefsion to him and his heirs
for ever______ Secondly I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Graham
twenty acres of Marsh being part of a tract of land or marsh called Mary's
Venture lying in the forks of a creek called Bridge or little creek over
which the road leads from Barren Creek Mill to Vienna, to be laid off on
the southernmost end of the said tract also all my lands and marsh that
lieth on the north side of creek and branch called and known by the name of
Beaverdam, also on feather bed and furniture and one heifer to her and her
heirs of ever______ Thirdly I give and bequeath unto my son Benjamin Graham
fifty acres of land being the upper part of a tract of called Quaocason
Neck and not to extend any furder up towards my house where I now liveth
then to a cedar post which standeth in the south weft corner of my out
field also all the rest of that tract of land called weatherlys
convieniancy Not heretofore willed by me that I am in pofsefsion of also
twenty and a half acres of Marsh lying in Vienna Marsh being the other part
of a tract of land or marsh called Marys Venture also one feather bed and
furniture and one heifer to him and his heirs for ever______Fourthly I give
and bequeath unto my son James Graham all my other lands and Marsh that I
now hold and hath not willed away also one feather bed and furniture and
one heifer to him and his heirs forever______fifthly I give and bequeath
unto my son in Law Jehew Parrimore four pound ten shillings currency of
Maryland to him and his heirs forever______Sixthly I give and bequeth unto
my well beloved wife ann Graham all my other Estate both real and personal
to her and her heirs for ever Whom I make and ordain my whole and soal
Executor of this my last will and testament and by thise presents doe make
void and of no effect all wills hereafter made by me and do confirm this
and no other to be my last will and testament in witnefs when of I have
hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this 30th day of May anno domi 1772

On the 29th day of July 1772 came Joefeph Venablis and made oath that the
aforegoing Instrument of writing is the true and only will and testament of
Henry Grimes late of Somerset County deceased that hath come to his hands
pofsefsion or knowledge and that he did not know or heard of any other
Sworn before Thos. Holbrook Deputy Coms of Somerset County on the
Twenty ninth day of July one thousand seven hundred and seventy two came
Joefeph Venablis William Kennly and John Cooper three of the subscribing
witnefss and made oath on the Holy Evangilist of Almighty God that they did
see and the testator_____Henry Grimes sign and seal the aforegoing will and
heard him publish and pronounce and declare the same to be his last will
and testament and at the time of his sodoing he was to the best of their
apprehenfions of a sound disposing mind and memory and understanding and
that they subscribed their names as witnefss to the said will in the
presents of the faid teftator
