In the name of God Amen ~ I Esther Smith of Somerset County being sick
of body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make
make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form
following. first I commit my soul to God and my body to the earth to be
buried at the discretion of my Executor, and as touching my worldly
Estate I dispose of the same in the following manner, Item I give and
bequeath to my four daughters to wit Elizabeth Riggs, Mary Pool, Hetty
Gibbons and Rosanna Waters all my Estate to be divided equally amongst
them share and share alike and I do hereby nominate and apoint William
Boggs whole and sole Executor of this my last will and testament In
witness whereof I have hereunto set hand and affixed my seal this
fifteenth day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and
seventeen Signed, sealed published and declared by Esther Smith to be
her last will in presence of us who at her request and in her presence
subscribed our names as evidences in presence of each other _ Elizabeth

Somerset County, to wit: _ December the 5th day 1826 _ Then came William
Bridges and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that the
within instrument of writing is the true and whole last will and
testament of Esther Smith, late of Somerset County, deceased, that hath
come to his hands or possession and that he doth not know of any other _

Somerset County, to wit: _ December the 5th day 1826 _ Then came Isaac
Williams one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will and
testament of Esther Smith, late of Somerset County, deceased, and made
Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that he did see the testatrix
therein named sign and seal this will, that he heard her publish,
pronounce and declare the same to be her last will and testament; that
at the time of her so doing she was to the best of his apprehension of
sound and disposing mind memory and understanding _ Capable of executing
a valid contract and that he subscribed his name to this will as a
witness in the presence and at the request of the testatrix and in the
presence of the other subscribing witnesses _ He further deposed that he
saw Elizabeth Williams (since dead) and Elizabeth C. Lippincott
subscribe their names as witnesses to this will in the presence and at
