Transcription

In the name of God Amen I Charles Hall of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland Planter being sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect memory thanks be to god do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following First I bequeath my soul to god and god that gave it to me and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be decently burried as my Executrix hereafter named shall think fitt and as touching such worldly Estate as God in his Mercy hath bestowed on me, I give and bequeath as followeth Viz. Item I give and bequeath unto my Dear and loving Wife Ailea Hall fifty acres of land called Hopkins Destany lying on the east side of Chesapeake Bay on the north side of Annemessix River to her and her heirs and assigns forever and also I give and unto my Dear and Loving Wife Ailea one third part of all my personall Estate and a silver Tankard, to her and heirs and assigns for ever_____ Item and the other two thirds part of my personal Estate to be equally divided amongst my five children Sarah Curtis, Ailea Roak, Mary Hall, Rachel Revell, and my son Charles Hall which I give to them and their heirs for ever____ Item I give and bequeath unto my son in Law Wm. Planner, one shilling to be paid by my Executrix hereafter named____ Item I doe make constitute and appoint my Dear and Loving Wife Ailea hall to be my whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day of June In the year of our lord God 1695.____ Witness Us Stephen Horsey His Charles Hall {Seale} Nicholas [X] Fountain Mark Marty Fountain Memorandum that this day being the 13th of August 1695 Probate of the will above written was made by the oaths of Stephen Horsey Nicholas Fountain and Marty Fountain who swore on the holy Evangelist that they saw the Testator Charles Hall sign and seal the said Will and Testament, Declaring it to be his last____ The said oath was administered by me____ S. Hopkins Depcom__ Mem. That this day being the 13th of August 1695 letters Testament with copie of the withen written will, was granted to the withen named Ailea Executrix and netich[?????] of the Testator, she swore together with the appraisers appointed Witness my hand____ S.
