228 In the name of God Amen This 26th day of January in ye Year of Our Lord 1743,4 Arthur Warwick of Somerset County in ye Province of Maryland being Sick & Weak in Body yet of perfect mind & memory blessed be God and calling to mind ye uncertainty of this mortal life & that it is appointed for all Men once to Die do make & Ordain this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following hereby revoking disannulling & making Void all & every other Will or Wills Testament or Testaments by me heretofore made or done do acknowledge this only this to be my last Will & Testament Impts. I recommend my Immortal Soul into ye hands of Almighty God & my Body to ye Earth to be decently buried at ye Discretion of my Executrix hereafter mentioned. Item I give & bequeath unto my Son Wm Warwick after ye decease of his Mother all ye Land I Possess on ye Easternmost side of my Mill Dam & Parrahawkin Branch not to be sold to any but to his Brother Jeremiah as also one half of my Mill after his Mothers Decease & my Gun to him his heirs & Assigns for ever. Item I give & bequeath unto my Son Jeremiah Warwick after ye decease of his Mother ye other half of my Land on ye Westernmost side of my Mill Dam not before given to my Son Wm Warwick not to be sold by him to any but to his Bro. Wm Warwick as also ye other half of my Mill after his Mothers decease to him his heirs & Assigns for ever Item I give & bequeath unto Jas Ward, Robt Harris, ye Heirs of Teague Riggen & ye heirs of Randall Smullen each ten Acres of Land called Winter Quarter purchased of George Benson to them their Heirs & Assigns for ever Item I leave ye use & benefit of all my Lands Houses & Premises thereunto belonging my Mill & my Personal Estate my Gun excepted to my beloved Wife Sarah Warwick for ye Support & Maintenance of my children and after her decease what of my Personal Estate shall be left to be equally divided between my seven children Mary, John, Ann, Elisha, Arthur, Sarah, & James Warwick to them their Heirs & Assigns for ever Item I make & Ordain my beloved Wife Sarah War= wick whole & Sole Executrix of this my Last Will & Testament Witness my hand & Seal ye day & Year above written Signed Sealed & acknowledged by ye Testator as his Last Will & Testament in presence of us Cornelius Ward, Sarah (her mark) Ward, Jno Benson. Arthur (his mark) Warwick (Seal) February ye 23d 1743. Came Cornelius Ward, Sarah Ward and John Benson subscribing evidences to this Will and made Oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that they saw the Testator Arthur Warwick Sign and Seal and heard him publish pronounce and declare this Instrument of writing as his last Will and Testament and that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding and that they the said Cornelius Ward Sarah Ward and John Benson Subscribed their names as evidences to this Will in the presence and at the request of the Testator Arthur Warwick Sworn before ~ Nehemiah King Depy Comry of Somerset County February ye 23d 1743. Then did Sarah Warwick Exc. of Arthur Warwick made her Election on this Will before me the Subscriber and desires that she may be wholly concluded by the Somerset County in ye Province of Maryland being sick and weak in Body yet of perfect Sense mind & memory blessed be God & calling to mind ye uncertainty of this Mortal life do make & Ordain this my last every other Will & Testament in manner & form following hereby revoking disannulling & making Void all and Will or Wills Testaments or Testaments by me heretofore made or done do acknowledge this & only this to be my last Will & Testament Imps.
