DAVIS posted by Tricia Hess Adams on Saturday, July 16, 2005

I am searching for information on Jesse DAVIS, born about 1754 in Worcester Co. His will was probated in 1813. His wife was Sarah (maiden name unknown). His children were George, Rachael, Rhoda, Polly, Nancy, and Betsy DAVIS. He was an American Revolutionary War Veteran, serving in the Militia Sinepuxan Battalion, Captain Dale's Company in Worcester Co., Maryland. I have this information from one of my Davis cousins before he died; however, I have not seen the actual research/proof and he was losing his mental clarity shortly before he died. I would like to be able to verify his work and hopefully add to it. I am interested in finding information on Jesse, his parents, wife, children, and grandchildren. I know I'm asking a lot but any assistance would be helpful.

LITTLETON, SMITH posted by Evelyn Smith on Sunday, November 20, 2005

Looking for information on the LITTLETON and SMITH families of Worcester County, MD circa 1790 to 1840. Handy SMITH married Sarah LITTLETON (daughter of Edmund LITTLETON) and moved to Pickaway County, Ohio in 1839. I believe that Handy's father was Lemuel SMITH. I also believe there are connections to Levin Handy Smith family as well as Merrill Smith because these names continue to appear in the Smith family in Ohio.

DENNIS, WILLIAMS posted by Sharon Parks on Saturday, February 11, 2006

I would like to have any information concerning Frederick Handy WILLIAMS (born 27 Jul 1892; died 15 Apr 1967). He married Nealie DENNIS (born 7 Jan 1899, died 10 Sep 1986). I think that they lived around Libertytown, MD. Would like to have any information concerning him, his children, and his parents, who I believe were Hiram WILLIAMS and Annabelle (Ellis). Also, anything revolving around the death of Mildred Louise WILLIAMS, who died 29 Jul 1991. I have heard that she was murdered???

DAVIS posted by Ann Lynn Crass Bailey on Sunday, March 5, 2006

Rev. Samuel DAVIS arrived in Somerset County by September 1684 from Northern Ireland. I have learned he was the minister of Snow Hill Presbyterian Church from 1686 to 1698 and served a second pastorate from 1718 until his death in 1725. I would like any information on his wife Mary Sympson and his children Catherine and Samuel Davis.

ENNIS, HANDY posted by Myra J. McDonald on Tuesday, March 21, 2006

My ggg-grandfather Isaac ENNIS was born abt 1798 in Berlin, Worcester County. He married Margaret Atkinson. I know that somehow the HANDY family joined up with my ENNIS family, probably before Isaac and his family. Can anyone help me? From all the Handy given names through the years the Handy family was obviously important to my ancestors and honored. I would love the know the connection. I have quite a lot on the Ennis families and would be happy to share. Thanks!!
