WANGO CEMETERY

GPS location: 38° 19.315' N ~ 75° 27.125' W
"This Cemetery", says submitter John P. Kelly, "is located on Wango Road in Wicomico County and is next to the Wango Methodist Church. It is on a small hill and is very well kept. The cemetery has a marker in front with the dates 1891-1965, but people are still being buried there. The land was donated by a person that attended the old Wango Methodist Church and the plots were given free of charge. I have compiled a list of all persons buried there that have a marker but I do know that there are unmarked graves located there as well. One in particular is made of bricks and had caved in until it was refilled. I am sure that is not the only unmarked one. I hope the following information maybe of help to people researching their family trees. This is up to date as of November 29, 2002."
