JONES METHODIST CHURCH CEMETERY
East side Jesterville Road & south side of Muddy Hole Rd. (*Listed as Clara Rd. in John Jacob’s Book)
There is no longer a church at this site. This is a heavily wooded corner lot, thick with trees, vines, spines, brambles, barbs and dense undergrowth. Footing is treacherous. The West Side Lions Club cleared the site several years ago, but it is obvious that no effort has been made to do anything recently. Extremely hard to navigate (we both tripped on vines and fell). Gravestones are 20 feet or less from edge of woods, but can barely (if at all) be seen as you drive past. We stopped first on opposite side of road, and did not see them, then drove on looking for Clara Road. (It is now renamed and signed as Muddy Hole Road). On the return trip we stopped on the adjacent shoulder and saw the stones. Recorded November 29, 1997 by Margaret Robinson and Paul Willing.

Note: There is a single sized plot on the Muddy Hole Road side enclosed by a wrought iron fence. It appears to be a single grave, or it may be 2 infant graves end to end. There is a small stone at each end similar to a foot stone, but they are both sunken to half their depth, and there is no discernible inscription on either. It was not possible to get inside the enclosure or close enough to see anything more.
