ROCK CREEK CEMETERY

Rock Creek UMC Rock Creek Cemetery
Rock Creek United Methodist Church Rock Creek Cemetery

Cemetery is in Chance, north of Deal Island Road (MD 363) by about 1 1/2 city block, apparently the property of Rock Creek United Methodist Church located on the main road. Cemetery is large and well kept.

Recording/transcription of this cemetery was begun in August, 1998 following CemTrek98 by Ralph and Paul Willing. The CemTrek99 Team continued the effort on August 8, 1999 until the heat forced us to postpone the remainder until some cooler time. The additional stone transcriptions were provided by Ralph Willing, Paul Willing, Jill Pevear, and Shari Handley. The cemetery is property of Rock Creek Methodist Church, and is well maintained.

Appended to the end of the CemTrek-recorded gravestones is information from additional graves, gathered by sisters Shirl Jones Tarbox and Margaret L. Jones Sharer during a trip to the area in 1991. Shirl compared her list to the list of graves the CemTrekkers had already compiled and removed the duplicates. Thank you, ladies!
