MESSICK, MEZICK posted by Eugene Messick, III on Wednesday, August 8, 2007

Looking for info on James MEZICK and Caroline ELZEY who married in 1828 and had a son, William Francis Bell MESSICK in 1829. In 1850 census, their three younger children, John, Malissa Emily and James, were in the John Elzey household. It appears that they both died between 1840 and 1850 and children were orphaned.

Looking for information of a William T. LAIRD / LORD, born around 1815 - 1822 and died around 1880 in Somerset Co. He married Ellenor DUNCAN in 1846 at St. Peters Church. ROBERTS posted by Bill Roberts on Friday, December 28, 2007

I am looking for information on The ROBERTS family. Francis ROBERTS came to Northumberland County, VA in 1650. Moved to Somerset County around 1672 became a real estate dealer. Family property at Francis' death included "Davids Destiny", "Elliots Choice", "The Dawns", "Roberts Recovery", "Jeshmon", "Newfoundland", "Edwards Lot". The family, according to my 1854 BIble and news accounts therein, put the family as one of the original settlers of "Dames Quarter" along with the White and Wallace families. Any help would be appreciated!
