In Old Somerset County, MD in the early 18th century (c. 1730 - 1750), I am looking for information on Blumer WHITE or Burgess WHITE. Other family names are BURGESS, TILLMAN / TILGHMAN, and WEBB. First names in this family are also Jonathan, Stephen, Daniel, Tabitha, Millicent, John, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Sarah, Abner, and Joannah. These families moved on to Brunswick, VA around 1750 and lived around other German and Swiss Protestant families.

Who was the father of Margaret Ann POWELL? Margaret was born in Shelltown, Somerset County, Maryland on 23 Jan 1898. Her unmarried mother was Emma POWELL. There is no record of Margaret's father. Margaret later married Arzah ENNIS on 30 April 1919 in Westover, Somerset County, Maryland. Does anyone have any info or ideas about how to find out this info? Thanks, Joan :-)

Walter LANE married Sarah WILSON on 24 Sep 1689 in Somerset Co., MD, according to "Maryland Marriages 1634 - 1777", compiled by Robert Barnes. In Walter's will, an Alexander WILSON took the inventory. I am looking for the connection to Sarah WILSON's family. She is listed as a Quaker in Clayton Torrence's "Old Somerset on The Eastern Shore of Maryland,". Any assistance is appreciated!

I am looking for the parents of William James LANDON, born 7 Apr 1860 and died 11 Sep 1938. He married Josephine Alrissa "Rissie" OBIER. They had a daughter Willie Mae LANDON born 22 Jul 1893 who married Charles Matthews WOOLSTON. I also need more information on Josephine Alrissa OBIER.

Samuel HIGGINS, a resident of Vienna, Dorchester Co., MD, married Mary E. STERLING. Samuel was born 4 Apr 1817 and died 24 Apr 1895. I have no other information on Mary E. STERLING but I believe she came from Somerset Co. MD and hope someone out there knows.

Thomas James BRADLEY married Leah Elizabeth TAYLOR 21 May 1856 in Somerset Co. MD. Their son William Perry BRADLEY was my great grandfather. I would like to find out more about the BRADLEY and TAYLOR families in Somerset County. I believe they lived in now Wicomico Co., around the Nanticoke River/Barren Creek area. I am trying to find information on Charles BRADSHAW, born about 1880, married Fanny Fern BRADSHAW (maiden name also). They had 2 daughters that I know of: Emma, born Oct 31,1892 in Tylerton, Somerset Co. and Evelyn, born April 25,1907 in Tylerton. They married brothers from Queen Anne's Co., MD: Orem Aquilla GARDNER and Roy Greenfield GARDNER. Evelyn and Roy were married in 1933 and moved to Annapolis, MD.

MARSH, Charles D. and Charity, died Mt. Vernon, MD and buried in yard near street about 100 yards from church. Looking for ancestors, any family information or stories. Also, MARSH, Charles W. who married (1) Carrie, died TB, (2) Leona died TB. He taught school somewhere. Does anyone know where and when? He moved in about 1916-17 to Baltimore area, where he remained until his death. He is buried, however, in church in Mt. Vernon with other family members. My father said he (my father) was known as the deacon's boy - was Charles W. a deacon in a Mt. Vernon church? If so, which one?

Seeking contact with anyone researching Robert BUTCHER (in Somerset by 1695) and 3 sons William, Robert Jr. and John. Is John the same John Butcher who died 1746 New Castle Co.? Are the Butchers of Delaware pre1800 all descended from him? Those in Sussex and Kent appear to be; not sure about New Castle Co.
