"Wathen Anthology" by Carol Collins, self published. $55 (price subject to change) The Wathen family arrived in Maryland in 1670, were members of the Maryland Catholics to Kentucky migration, and from there are in about every state now. The book covers 1670 to ca. 1900 - six generations. Mention will be made of all other Wathens found in records, including George Wathen, who was in Essex Co. Mass in 1632. Major states of interest are Maryland, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, California, Iowa, Colorado. A variation of the surname is Warthen and Worthan.
