I am searching for any information on my great-great grandfather Henry KUMP, who married Mary RENNER. I believe he died in the 1890's. Also believe he might have been from the Silver Run area of Carroll Co. His daughter (my great-grandmother) Amanda Kump SHERFEY lived in the Wakefield area at the time of her death in 1924.

I am looking for any information on Marshall and Mary Jane ZEPP of Carroll County. They had a son Marshall HOWARD who was born Jan 1, 1861 and died April 11, 1926 in Frederick, MD. Marshall was married to Martha Golden (1/12/1861-6/1/25), daughter of William GOLDEN/GOLDING and Kessiah PERRY of Montgomery Co., MD. Their children were: (1) Carrie Elizabeth, b Nov 20, 1884 in Mont. Co., married Peter E. FLAIR, and died Sep 6, 1923 in Frederick, MD; (2) Marshall Howard, Jr., b Oct 5, 1896, died Oct 4, 1918 in Frederick, MD; (3) Bertha; (4) Frances (Fanny); and (5) William, married Daisy ODEN. Marshall Howard Zepp and Martha Golden Zepp were my husband's great-grandparents.

I am looking for the names of the parents and siblings of my 3rd great-grandfather Nimrod SMITH who was born in Maryland in 1810 and lived in Maryland until about 1871 when he went to Iowa. At least two of their children, Ruben and Alexander went with them to Iowa. They also took their 6 year old grandson, Ulysses Grant WHEATLEY, son of their deceased daughter Amanda SMITH WHEATLEY. Nimrod SMITH married Elizabeth WINTER January 10, 1834 in Frederick Co., MD. In 1840 Nimrod was in Franklin District, Carroll Co., Maryland. In 1850 he was in District #5, Carroll Co., Maryland. In 1860 Nimrod was in the 1st District, Ellicott Mills, Baltimore Co., Maryland and his occupation is listed as a Fireman. Nimrod and Elizabeth WINTER SMITH'S children were all born in Maryland. 1.Emily J. Smith b.1835, 2.Amanda E. Smith b.1837, d.November 9,1896, Fox Rocks, Baltimore Co., Md, m. June 11, 1858, James WHEATLEY b. March 4, 1835, Ellicott Mills, Howard Co., Md., son of William and Sarah Ann WHEATLEY, 3.Sarah A. b. 1840, 4.Ruben b. 1847, m. Eliza HUBBS, daughter of Charles and Matilda HUBBS, 5.Franceanu Mary b.1844, 6.James b. 1845, 7.Jemima b. 1849, 8.Alexander b.1852, m. Emily. Any information on these families would be appreciated. This is my first post. I am looking for my g g grandfather William O. HARRY. He was born in 1841 in Cornwall, Eng. His family emigrated to Carroll Co. before 1852. He married Margaret (unknown) and they had two children Laura Jane born 1857, and Richard born 1860.
