June 1838, probably in Bachman's Valley, to parents Michael Wilson and Polly FULTZ. The Wilson and Fultz names are evidently common in that area of Carroll County. Penny Hare Thu, 18 Jun 98 00:38:30 PDT I am looking for my g-grandfather, John Samuel HARE. All I have is his military information from the civil war. He was mustered in 29th Feb, 1864 in the town of Hampstead, Maryland and discharged in Richmond, VA 8 Aug 1865 from Company C, First Regiment of Maryland Volunteer Cavalry. He was listed as a farmer. He was a Pvt. under Capt. John K. Buckley. Discharge says Baltimore County but I cannot find him in Baltimore County. Wife #1 was Barbara EBBERT. One of the children from this union was Mary Jane born 1858 where unknown. Moved to Schuyler County, IL. They might have been there in 1885. John Samuel Hare died in 1918.
