LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF WALTER CARR
FEBRUARY 4, 1851
In the name of God Amen. I Walter Carr of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland being of sound mind, memory and understanding and do therefore make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in the manner and form following that is to say I give and bequeath to my two sons Silas Fiedler Carr and Samuel Wilson Carr, my farm the same which I purchased of Gapaway Winterson, share and share alike, free from encumbrances of my wife's dower and in consideration in which I give and bequeath to my daughter Frances I. Carr and my two sons Walter Carr and William Henry Carr, the plantation wherein I now reside subject to my dear wife Dinah Carr dower for all of my real estate at which time I made awareness to my children Mary Smith, Ann Meade and Melinda Chapman, George Lewis Carr equivalent to their respective shares in my estate, both real and personal. I have nothing more to give them.
I do hereby constitute and appoint William F. Sietch sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fourth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred fifty one.
